I’m incredibly honored to be endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders as part of his 2026 slate of progressive candidates fighting for working people across the country.
This is truly a full-circle moment for me. The very first political campaign I ever worked on was Bernie’s 2016 presidential campaign here in Monongalia County, where I also co-founded WVU Students for Bernie Sanders. That experience brought me lifelong friendships, sparked my career in activism and organizing, and helped shape the values that guide my campaign today: protecting working people, defending our environment, strengthening unions, and building a future where young people can stay and thrive in West Virginia.
As Bernie said in announcing these endorsements, “In this pivotal and dangerous moment in our country’s history, we need leaders at every level of government who are prepared to take on the billionaire class and fight for working families.”
I’m deeply grateful to be one of 61 candidates across the country receiving his endorsement and proud to carry forward that vision here in West Virginia.
