From our working waterfronts to Maine’s North Woods, and in hospitals, schools, and businesses large and small, generations of hardworking people have built and sustained our communities.

Today belongs to all Mainers who work with their hands, minds, and hearts to make our State the place we are proud to call home.

Happy Labor Day!

Can you believe it? Maine taxpayers have been defrauded, and the Augusta establishment hasn’t lifted a finger to stop this nonsense.

We need to reform MaineCare so it works for Maine families in need — not fraudsters looking to get rich quick off our backs.

Today is America’s 250th birthday. Across our history, our nation has witnessed extraordinary triumph, innovation, and unity. Through it all, one idea has remained constant: liberty, self-government, and the rule of law are not inherited automatically, but preserved by each generation.

250 years later, the American story lives on not only through the olden writings of scholars and statesmen, but through the lives of millions of Americans who, each in their own way, have left their mark on this land we are proud to call home.

Happy Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Congratulations to David Daigler on the announcement of his retirement as President of the Maine Community College System. President Daigler’s strident support of higher education is a tremendous asset to Maine students, our workforce, and the future success of our State. I have been so pleased to work with President Daigler during his tenure, and I want to thank him for his public service to the State of Maine.

Violence is never the answer.

I commend the heroes who keep our country safe, and join the chorus of prayers for the Secret Service agent who is recovering from a gunshot wound after last night’s attack.

Clay Gleason has led a legendary career in Maine’s public schools. I was pleased to share a part of his story on the Floor of the House last week.

Thank you, Clay, for your many years of service to Bonny Eagle.

Hollis Town Hall is OFFICIALLY open! It was a privilege to join residents and local leaders for the ribbon cutting of our new town hall — a project that represents both investment in our community and confidence in our future.

I’m proud to have helped secure the funding that made this building possible. This new space will serve as a hub for local government, community engagement, and essential services for years to come.

Moments like this are a reminder of what can be accomplished when we work together with a shared purpose. Congratulations to everyone who played a role in bringing this vision to life.

Central Maine Power and even some politicians in Augusta promised the people that the New England energy connect corridor - made live this January - would LOWER energy prices for you and your family.

Looks like we got played. I'll fight this rate increase with everything I have.

Janet Mills has said NOTHING about the deaths of children in Maine's foster care system. It's shameful, and I just voted for a major structural overhaul in the department because we need to clean up our act without delay.
