Our members are so grateful to be back out on the trail with our friends from MDI Wheelers! The aim of the MDI Wheelers is to provide joyful experiences on the Carriage Roads in Acadia National Park for people unable to ride a bike by themselves. Our mission is to serve our community by increasing the accessibility of Acadia National Park Carriage Roads. We are so grateful for this fantastic organization that partners with Birch Bay Retirement Village year after year!

We proudly accept MaineCare and partner with trusted resources like Eastern Area Agency on Aging’s Caregiver Respite Program and Seniors Plus to expand funding options. Private pay rates start at just $19/hour and include transportation, meals, activities, and compassionate supervision in a welcoming, engaging environment.
If your loved one is 55+ and could benefit from socialization and support, we’re here for you.

Safe Harbor at Birch Bay Retirement Village is Down East Maine’s premier, award-winning memory care program, offering a secure and nurturing home for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other memory impairments.
