We are proud to share that several of our members have successfully completed a three day EMS Field Training Officer (FTO) course that wrapped up today. These members are now officially nationally credentialed as EMS Field Training Officers.
This course introduced prospective FTOs to the structure, tools, techniques, and concepts essential to EMS field training. Over the past three days, participants received instruction in adult learning principles, coaching, evaluation, giving effective feedback, and documenting trainee performance using nationally recognized tools.
Completion of this program marks the first step in strengthening and enhancing our department’s EMS field training program. Congratulations to all who participated, and thank you for your commitment to professional growth and excellence in patient care.

⚠️ Bangor International Airport is encouraging travelers and those driving near the area of the airport on Thursday (5/14) to plan ahead, leave early, and use extra caution on the roads due to increased traffic associated with the Vice President’s visit to Bangor.

📌 Please note: the event is NOT taking place at the airport terminal. However, travelers should expect heavier-than-normal vehicle traffic in the area, including along Maine Avenue, Union Street, and surrounding roadways.

✈️ Allow extra time to get to the airport.

🚶 Be alert for pedestrians and traffic control activity.

📱 Stay focused on the road and avoid distracted driving.

🤝 Most importantly, please be patient and kind to one another on this busier-than-normal day.

Happy Mother's Day to all of our mom followers.

👩‍🚒🔥 Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible women who raised our firefighters! 🔥👩‍🚒
Today, we celebrate all the amazing moms who helped shape the courageous, selfless individuals who run toward danger to protect us. Behind every firefighter, there's a mother who nurtured, supported, and instilled the values of bravery, integrity, and service.
To the moms who stayed up late, worrying about their kids' safety, and to the ones who taught them the meaning of hard work and determination — thank you. You may not wear a uniform, but your love and strength are the foundation of the heroes we rely on every day.
We salute you for raising the ones who answer the call when it matters most. You are just as much of a hero as the firefighters you helped shape.
💖 Wishing all the moms a very special Mother’s Day — your love has created a legacy of bravery and dedication. 💖
