The Teen Department has several programs created specifically for teens:
*TEEN READER'S THEATRE- Love to perform but don't have the time to memorize? Help select the material and bring your creativity to the presentation. Meetings are every other Wednesday at 4:30PM.
*TEEN FANTASY BOOK CLUB- Meet other Fantasy Fanatics, dicuss favorites, read a shared book of the club's choosing, play games, and
enjoy refreshments. Please register for this club. Meetings are every other Wednesday 4PM-5PM.
*FROM PROMPT TO PUBLISHED- Have you ever considered writing your own book but not sure where to start? Allow the BPL to help you with your troubles with this new writing program. Authors gather once a month to discuss various aspects of writing and participate in activites with peers who share the same passion for creating literary works. The program will discuss everything from how to start your book to how to sell your book. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month from 4PM-4:45PM.
*ANIME CLUB- Do you like Japanese Anime? Then join the BPL's Teen Anime Club. Discuss your favorites and watch anime DVD's. Check out our manga, and graphic novel section and make suggestions to add to the collection. Meeetings are the 2nd Monday of the Month from 3PM-5PM.
*TEEN ADVISORY BOARD- The Teen Advisory Board was started in 2001, the purpose of the Board is to review and recommend materials for the YA collection, and to plan and assist in programming for teens. Members of the board volunteer at other Library events, and contribute to the Teen Web page. Lend your voice to help make the Library "Teen Friendly". Meetings are the first Monday of each month at 3:30PM.
