This is some information that veterans may find useful that was presented to us at our regular monthly meeting last night in Bangor. Kim Rohn, 2nd District Congressional office: Kim came back to speak to our Post about the services that she and her office can facilitate for veterans. First Amendment Museum: Below is information about the First Amendment Museum, located next to the Blaine House in Augusta. The museum focuses on the five rights guaranteed by the First Amendment, is free of charge, and is open six days a week. 207.557.2290, www.firstamendmentmuseum.org
Pine Tree Legal Veterans Unit: An attorney with the Pine Tree Legal (PTL) Veterans Unit came to speak to us about the issues that PTL can assist veterans with, to include housing, debt/income problems, military records retrieval, and discharge upgrades.
