G**O OF MAINE JEFF BEZOS!! 🚫 This Saturday, August 8 from 1-4 on Route 25 across from Dolloff Road in Gorham, join organizers and community members in protesting Amazon’s proposed 58,100 square foot warehouse distribution facility in the center of Gorham on land it is buying from the town.

Amazon’s distribution facilities have a track record of negative impacts on public health and the environment, including significantly increased traffic, runoff from paved areas, and pollution from lights, noise, and truck exhaust. Amazon is also known for exploiting its workers with low-paying jobs with dangerous and dehumanizing working conditions, while taking high-paying union jobs away from postal workers. Community members in Gorham have repeatedly spoken out against the proposed warehouse, but the town continues to move forward with the sale of the land. This event is designed for community members in Gorham and beyond to speak out against the warehouse and reimagine how the town land could be used.
