Troy Jackson has been out here representing Maine’s diverse working class for decades. He stands up for those who struggle and strive for a better life by honest means. We couldn’t be prouder to endorse Troy for Maine Governor.

Every year on May 15th, Palestinians around the world, along with allies, gather on Nakba Day to commemorate families, communities and lands lost in 1948 and to affirm their right of return and right to remain in their homeland. Seventy-eight years on, the Nakba (catastrophe, in Arabic) continues through military occupation, forced displacement, siege, bombardment, the destruction of Palestinian communities and apartheid across historic Palestine — enabled in large part by continued U.S. military and political support for Israel.

Israel’s continued war crimes and crimes against humanity are made possible only by a continuous supply of US weapons. UN bodies and international human rights organizations like Amnesty International have called for a full arms embargo on Israel for over two years. The failure of the United States to comply makes our country complicit in the ongoing atrocities.

TELL CONGRESS: END THE ONGOING NAKBA - END THE CONTINUING GENOCIDE AND END US ARMS TO ISRAEL

In commemoration of Nakba Day, which remembers the Palestinian catastrophe of 1948, when most Palestinians were permanently displaced by Israeli forces, we are co-hosting a screening of “The Voice of Hind Rajab,” a film based on true events in 2024 when Volunteers at the Palestine Red Crescent stay on the phone with a 6-year-old girl who gets trapped in a car in war-torn Gaza.
