UPDATE: TXDOT has advised that crews will continue working throughout the day in an effort to complete the project as early as possible. If there are unexpected delays, work will possibly be expected to continue into tomorrow morning before being completed.

Reminder: We are aware of the traffic congestion at State Highway 16/FM 1283 and State Highway 16/Bumpgate&46. The delays are the result of roadwork being conducted by TXDOT, and this situation is outside of our control.

Unless you are reporting an emergency, please do not call 911 regarding the traffic backup. We are aware of the issue, but we do not have the ability to alter or expedite TXDOT’s operations.

When the Texas heat hits and you’re feeling thirsty, nothing beats an ice-cold lemonade! ☀️🍋 Deputy Rodriguez stopped by to support young entrepreneur Marlow’s lemonade stand at Park Road 37 & FM 1283 and even grabbed some delicious brownies too. The perfect treat for a hot day, and an even sweeter way to support a hardworking young member of our community!

As National Police Week comes to an end, the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office spent some special time after hours gathered with our families and loved ones. Sheriff Teitge and Chief Deputy Marsh treated everyone to good food, laughter, and even better company. ❤️

Sheriff Teitge also took the opportunity to officially swear in Deputy Young as Investigator — a special moment made even more meaningful by sharing it with loved ones. Congratulations, Investigator Young! 👏

This week has reminded us just how blessed we are by the incredible support from our community, friends, and families. To our spouses and loved ones — thank you for standing beside us through the long days, late nights, and everything in between. Your love, encouragement, and extra little spoiling this week meant more than words can say. Y’all went above and beyond! We couldn’t do this job without you. 💙

Mason Cadenhead is Austin-bound for the UIL State Track & Field Meet, where he’ll compete in the 400m Dash this Saturday at 7 PM!

We are incredibly proud of Mason’s hard work and dedication, and we’ll all be cheering him on from Bandera County! Best of luck, Mason — go show them what you’re made of! You’ve got this! 💪🏅

A huge thank you to the Hen’s Nest for the delicious breakfast! It didn’t take long before every bite was gone — that’s how good it was! 🍳🥓☀️

The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office has truly been feeling the love and appreciation during National Police Week. The kindness, support, and generosity we’ve received from our community have been overwhelmingly heartfelt, and we cannot thank everyone enough for making our deputies and staff feel so valued.

Thank you again to the Hen’s Nest for starting our day off with full stomachs and grateful hearts!

Please be advised: Bandera County Deputies will not request payments or banking information.

These calls are scams. Do not provide any personal or financial information to unknown callers. If you receive one of these calls, hang up and report it to local law enforcement.
