Entertainment District Fi****ms & Exhibition Driving Arrests
On August 29, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Entertainment District officers were conducting proactive enforcement in Fells Point, when they observed a vehicle performing donuts, driving recklessly, and obstructing traffic. Three passengers were also observed hanging out of the vehicle’s windows. As officers approached, the vehicle fled the area.
A short time later, the vehicle was located disabled in the 200 block of Bethel Street. The occupants had fled the vehicle. Officers were able to quickly locate three female passengers, aged 46, 33, and 30-years-old.
The officers subsequently searched the vehicle and recovered two loaded handguns: a Smith & Wesson and a G***k 43X with an obscured serial number.
The females were arrested, while officers worked to identify the driver, who was not initially located.
Through their investigation, officers identified the driver and obtained a search and seizure warrant for the driver’s residence. With the assistance of the Baltimore Police Department’s SWAT Team, officers executed the warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of E. Federal Street.
During the search, officers recovered six additional fi****ms, including rifles, as well as various firearm accessories.
An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained and served on 34-year-old Demetrius Thompson, who also had an active Baltimore City Sheriff’s warrant. Thompson is prohibited from possessing fi****ms due to prior convictions. He was transported to Central Booking and charged accordingly.
