The Black Caucus is partnering with Maryland Health Care for All and AARP to produce a public forum on prescription drug affordability.

Please join us on Wednesday, September 9 at 6:30pm at Enoch Pratt — Southeast Anchor Branch for a dialogue on Maryland’s progress in making prescription drugs more affordable across our state. Panelists are: Mayor Brandon Scott, Council President Zeke Cohen, Dr. Andrew Young and Rev. Dr. Sandra Conner.

Prescription drug pricing is an issue that impacts so many Marylanders, which is why prescription drug affordability has been a consistent priority for this Caucus. It is important that all of us are at the table and heard. We hope to have you join us next week for what will surely be an insightful conversation!

Navigating prescription drug affordability challenges isn’t something you have to do alone.

If you or someone in your family is facing challenges with necessary medications, the Maryland Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) is available as a state resource to help connect residents with staff who can find available programs and resources.
You can also share your personal story directly with the PDAB. Hearing about the real-world affordability challenges Marylanders face helps inform which medications are reviewed for state reform.
