The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) partnered with our team on an engaging Mock Bid Session designed to help small and minority-owned businesses better understand the procurement process.

Participants received valuable information and a hands-on tutorial on how to successfully navigate and complete bid documents, helping businesses build the knowledge and confidence needed to compete for contracting opportunities.

Through collaborative efforts like these, we’re working to make the procurement process more accessible and create greater opportunities for small and minority-owned businesses to grow and succeed.

Follow us as we explore Rich Juice Bar, Rich Juice Bar, a Cherry Hill based business founded by Michael and Danielle Battle, where wellness, community, and entrepreneurship come together.

For Michael and Danielle, Rich Juice Bar is about so much more than serving fresh juices and smoothies. It’s about their love for Cherry Hill and the people who call the neighborhood home. Their connection to the community is at the heart of everything they do, from creating a welcoming space for residents to investing time and energy into the young people who will shape Cherry Hill’s future.

Through their work with youth, Michael and Danielle create opportunities for young people to learn, build confidence, develop entrepreneurial skills, and see what’s possible when they invest in themselves and their community.

Rich Juice Bar is a reflection of their belief that when you pour into your community, your community pours back into you.

Baltimore businesses need more than just funding to grow. They need the right people, relationships, tools, and resources behind them.

That’s why our team brought together Baltimore business owners, community partners, financial institutions, and business support leaders for the 4 Pillars of Capital™ Innovation Lab at Impact Hub Baltimore.

Led by FUSE Executive Fellow Lo**ta Jackmon, the session explored four key areas of capital: Human, Social, Structural, and Financial. Participants worked through real business challenges, identified what businesses need most, and explored better ways to connect entrepreneurs with the resources, relationships, and support they need to move forward.

This Innovation Lab was an important first step toward building a stronger, more connected support system for Baltimore businesses.

When Baltimore businesses have the right support, Baltimore grows.
