These remarkable student-athletes were recognized not only for their achievements in competition, but also for their dedication and excellence in the classroom.

📚🏀Balancing the demands of academics and athletics requires discipline, perseverance, and character, and each honoree has demonstrated those qualities at the highest level.

Mayor Mayor Brandon M. Scott and The Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success is bringing together young leaders from across the city for the Mayor’s All Girls Youth Summit — a day dedicated to confidence, connection, and empowering the next generation of girls to lead boldly.

In partnership with City Schools, this summit will create space for meaningful conversations around leadership, wellness, and self-expression, while connecting girls with resources, support and inspiration to help them thrive.

Because when girls are supported, heard, and celebrated — the entire city shines. 💫

🖤💚❤️Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Mayor’s Black History Month Art Competition reception. Your presence helped make this celebration of creativity, culture, and storytelling truly meaningful. This evening reflected the spirit of our theme, Pennsylvania Ave.: The Rhythm and The Renaissance, honoring the legacy of artistic expression that continues to shape our community.

⭐️We extend special thanks to our incredible African dancers for opening the program with movement that connected us to our roots , as well as the talented students from Baltimore School for the Arts , the SGRhos & Kappas of Coppin State University Greeks for sharing their gifts and helping bring this vision to life. Your performances and participation captured the rhythm, resilience, and brilliance at the heart of this year’s theme.
