The Maryland Clean Energy Center announced the deployment of approximately $2.7 million to help advance rooftop solar and battery storage installations at 25 affordable housing properties throughout the state☀️.

This project is a partnership between the Maryland Energy Administration and MCEC and will ensure long-term energy savings and resilience for 2,422 households.🏡

Thanks to the Maryland Department of Human Services for your help in making our state's energy costs more affordable.

Governor Wes Moore recently announced 69 new grants totaling $43 million for Community Solar projects. The affordable clean energy will help lower electricity bills for low-income households.

As part of this initiative, the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) will oversee the distribution of electricity to more than 1,000 additional households receiving energy assistance, helping reduce energy costs for Maryland families.
