The Belair-Edison School, Elementary, formerly Brehms Lane PCS

The Belair-Edison School, Elementary, formerly Brehms Lane PCS Brehms Lane Public Charter School and Afya Public Charter School are now The Belair-Edison School. The school is operated by Afya Baltimore Inc. (www.mdpirc.org)

The Belair-Edison School serves students in pre-k through 8th grade across two campuses. (ABI), which also operates Tunbridge Public Charter School in Govans. “Afya” is a Swahili word for health. At the ABI schools, we focus on the intellectual, social/emotional, and physical health of our students. The Belair-Edison School is a schoolwide Title I school. You have the right to request information regarding professional qualifications of your child's teacher(s), and of paraprofessionals who provide instructional services to their children.

Hello BE Families,

Monday, August 24th is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30am. Please use Door #3 located on Kentucky Ave. Parents and guardians are not allowed to stay for breakfast. Teachers will be greeting students outside at 8:00 at the various entry points:

PreK (ELC - Kentucky)
K (ELC - Chesterfield)
1st & 5th (Main Entrance - Brehms Lane)
2nd (Entrance on Pelham)
3rd & 4th (Entrance on Chesterfield)
Please read the attached flyer with important updates to the visitor and cell phone policies for this school year.

We are excited to see you all tomorrow for an exciting day of learning and fun!
