Baltimore City SECAC  -  BC SECAC Baltimore City SECAC seeks meaningful input from the community on local issues relative to FAPE and the academic achievement of students of special needs.

Baltimore City SECAC (Special Education Citizens' Advisory Committee) seeks meaningful input from Baltimore City citizens, parents, grandparents, caregivers, community partners, service providers, educators, students, advocates and administrators on local issues relative to the provision of FREE Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and the achievement of students with disabilities of special needs.

Members work effectively to enable the Board of School Commissioners (BoSC) and the Executive Director of Special Education to collaborate with others on Special Education issues, and to facilitate positive change in the delivery of Special Education. Also, BC SECAC supports the One-Year-Plus (OYP) initiative in working towards closing academic gaps of those with special needs by their expected graduation date.
