What does it take to create a community mural?
In this case, it has taken years of vision boards, community building, youth leadership, neighborhood outreach, design workshops, fundraising, and countless hours of collaboration.
Titled "We Are Here: Our Colors, Our Stories, Our Community," the mural celebrates the voices, resilience, and creativity of immigrant youth. At a time when immigrant communities are under attack, it reminds us that joy and community are forms of resistance.
After a challenging but rewarding process, the project is finally coming to fruition! Join us on Saturday, June 27th as we celebrate the completion and unveiling of the mural at our Community Block Party! More details to come.
Until then, we're excited to share this behind-the-scenes look at the journey that brought this mural to life. We're so grateful to everyone who helped make this project possible. Click the link below to watch the full video on our website. 💙
