We will strengthen significantly Maryland’s economy by focusing on the economic growth, the economic inclusion and economic influence of African Americans. Working with others who have a similar interest in Mary

land’s economic future, we will dismantle the institutional barriers and biases that prevent people from realizing their full potential by addressing broken systems, not broken people. Informed by data and leading through innovative and research based approaches, ABC will ensure that economic opportunities are extended to, and seek to advance ALL people.

As an Intern at Associated Black Charities, Ka'mya Tynes brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a passion for learning to Team ABC.

Through her internship experience, Ka'mya is gaining hands-on exposure to the important work of advancing racial equity, strengthening communities, and creating pathways to opportunity. Whether supporting projects behind the scenes, assisting with events and initiatives, or contributing fresh ideas and perspectives, she is an important part of our growing team.

At ABC, we believe in investing in the next generation of leaders and providing meaningful opportunities for professional growth and development. Ka'mya's commitment to learning and willingness to embrace new experiences embody the spirit of leadership and service that drives our mission forward.

This inspiring event recognized the Stewards of Legacy—the organizations and leaders dedicated to preserving, protecting, and sharing Black history and culture every day. Their work ensures that our stories, our history, and our contributions continue to educate, inspire, and empower future generations.
