Coffee first. โ˜• Everything else second.

Maryland Port Administration Deputy Director of Business Development Jeff Gutowski and Ports America Chesapeake Commercial Operations Manager Kevin Dowling recently met with the team at Starbucks headquarters in Seattle, to talk about why the Port of Baltimore is the best port for handling java.

And like good coffee, the proof is in the taste as we handled 312,497 tons of coffee last year, a 42% increase from 2024!

So while you're enjoying your morning cup, remember there's a global supply chain working behind the scenes to make it happen and PoB is a key part of it.

Here's to a great morning and an even better cup of joe!

Maryland Port Administration's Director of Business Development Nick Porter attended the 2026 National Truck Driving Championships on Saturday where professional drivers from Maryland and Delaware put their skills and knowledge to the test. Competitors faced exams, inspections and a driving skills course designed to showcase the expertise required to keep America's freight moving safely and efficiently.

The Port of Baltimore is a predominately truck port and we appreciate our truckers. We were also happy to support our partners at the Maryland Motor Truck Association.

Congratulations to all of the drivers who competed and demonstrated excellence behind the wheel! ๐Ÿ‘ American Trucking Associations

Community members joined us yesterday at Riviera Beach Library in Pasadena for Get the Scoop on Dredging to learn what happens to the sediment dredged from the Port of Baltimoreโ€™s shipping channels.

Attendees heard from local environmental and dredging experts about how we manage and reuse dredged material, what we've learned over the years and our vision for the future.

Thank you to everyone who came out, asked thoughtful questions and joined the conversation. We enjoyed sharing this important topic with the community and we hope the free ice cream made the experience even sweeter! ๐Ÿฆ
