We provide free groceries and essentials to individuals and families in the Baltimore/Thurston area. Thanks to the generosity of local donors, volunteers, churches, and businesses, we’re able to serve hundreds of neighbors each year.

Don't forget to bring canned good items to the fair this week! There are collection bins outside the #50 Show Arena, in Ed Sands Building and the 4-H Display Barn. Forgot your cans? There is a cash donation box in the 4-H Display Barn.

Clubs don't forget to label your items in the Display Barn for BATTLE OF THE GROUPS! The top 5 clubs/chapters will receive a cash prize.

Not coming into the fair but want to help? Items can be dropped off at the Extension Office from 7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday!
Help the Junior Leaders reach their goal of 10,000 pounds!!

Meijer has a lot of items for $1 right now that the pantry desperately needs to start preparing for the holiday season untop of normal weekly food orders which are on the rise!!!

Today from 6:00 - 7:15 the BJFD and Explorers will be hosting a drive thru food drive. We will be asking that anyone dropping off food to enter the lower lot and drive thru from the rear of the station. We will be out to direct traffic and assure a safe and smooth event. Please be aware apparatus exiting and entering the station from calls for service.

Meijer has several of the Pantry’s daily essentials for just $1 this coming week—perfect time to grab a few extras to donate!

Drive Thru Food Drive - September 28 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

On September 28th from 6:00 p.m. till 7:15 p.m. the BJFD and the Explorers will be hosting a drive thru food drive. We will be accepting food donations in the apparatus bay. There will be no need for you to get out of your vehicle; we will unload the food right in the fire station. So fill up your trunk or back seat and the Firefighters and Explorers will do all the unloading for you. We will have members helping with the flow of traffic into the station. Come help the Baltimore Food Pantry. Please share this information on your social media to help spread the word.

Don’t forget! Tomorrow is the last Double Match Day for the Simply Give program at Meijer!

We’ve had a few people reach out who aren’t able to make it in person but still want to contribute. They’ve sent a donation to Becca or Tina to shop on their behalf.

If you’d like to do the same, please let one of us know! Becca has her Venmo account set up and cleared strictly for pantry donations related to Simply Give tomorrow.

Incase you missed the first double day for simply give at Meijer we have another one this coming Saturday (13th)! Let’s see if we can make this double match day even better than the first one.
