On June 18th, Roca Inc. led a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training for partners across Baltimore’s Community Violence Intervention (CVI) ecosystem. The session focused on understanding how trauma and brain development impact decision-making among young people and explored evidence-based strategies to help youth navigate challenges, regulate emotions, and resolve conflicts without resorting to violence.

Through continued learning and collaboration, we are strengthening our collective ability to support Baltimore’s young people and build safer communities together.

Happy Juneteenth, Baltimore! Baltimore’s historic progress has only been possible because of those who came before us, and who have laid the foundation for our communities to take co-ownership of public safety. Today, we honor the legacy of Black leaders and civil rights advocates who have dedicated their lives to freedom and justice.
