If you haven't tried our monthly LEGO Robotics Club yet, September is the perfect time. We do require registration, but we currently have several openings for this month's challenge. It's not too late to sign up!

Welcome September! Library programs resume a week from today with our weekly story time and monthly LEGO Robotics programs; craft sessions return in just a few short weeks too, so be sure to register early. We're also excited to welcome Chef Janet for an intro to sour dough workshop. This program is completely free and you'll leave with your very own starter to nurture at home. Additional tools and kits will also be available for purchase for those who want to take things to the next level. We look forward to seeing you this month!

Last week's Summer Reading Finale was one for the memory books. You can almost hear the the joy and laughter coming through the pictures we captured. A very special thanks to the magnificient Ed Popielarczyk for sharing his balloon animals, magic, and good humor with our lively audience. We are so grateful for the families who shared their summer with us. It was our pleasure to see so many coming out multiple times throughout the week to take full advantage of the books, services, and programs that our little library offers. Truly magical! We're excited to announce our Summer Reading prize winners...stay tuned here for details.

We sure do miss the flurry of activity that our Terrific Tuesdays brought each week throughout the summer. Last week's visit with Cassidy from the Last Green Valley (TLGV) was no exception. Thanks to the generous support of Centreville Bank, Dominion Energy, the Putnam Area Foundation and the Edward and Mary Lord Foundation and the expertise of the TLGV staff, these eager learners were introduced to mammal skull identification. We are so grateful!
