Today we stood alongside EMS agencies across New York State to honor and remember the providers we’ve lost. Nine new names, including one of our own, were honored today and added to the EMS Tree of Life at the New York State Plaza. You are in our hearts every year and every shift🎗️

Appreciate the paramedic that always backs up another crew.

The provider that is excited to teach and answer questions.

The relief crew that shows up early for every shift change.

The EMT that double checks your rig.

The paramedic that can keep the call calm in every situation.

The supervisor or director that always responds when you’re in need, day or night.

The coworker that debriefs a call with you and checks in on you after.

Your mutual aid agencies that cover calls for your community.

The EMS providers that share the hallway wait times with you with patience.

Appreciate each other this week and every week.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Tyler Collins.

Tyler had recently joined the Malta-Stillwater EMS family, and in the short time we knew him, it was clear he had a passion for helping others and a bright future ahead in EMS. He had plans to continue his education and advance to Paramedic, a goal we looked forward to watching him achieve.

Our thoughts are with Tyler’s family, friends, and all those who knew and cared for him during this difficult time.

REMO invites you to join Albany Medical Center Trauma Education, Injury Prevention, and Outreach Coordinator Thomas Moran, MA, EMT, CPST for a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session on Pediatric Transportation Devices.

Tom will demonstrate the latest developments in pediatric patient-securing devices available to ambulance services, with a focus on ensuring safe pediatric ambulance transportation. This CME will provide participants with a hands-on look at the options currently available in today’s marketplace.
