Come out tomorrow to make history, witness the unveiling and placement of a historical marker.

Illinois marker dedication to mark the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Brice’s Crossroads Ceremony, historical program and marker unveiling paying tribute to members of the 114th Regiment who served, suffered or died on June 10, 1864.

Program to include demonstrations by reenactors of many aspects of military life in the 1860’s on the original site and the fight at the Battle of Brice’s Crossroads.
Site is located on CR 833 (Guntown Road) just south of Bethany Church and intersection of Highway 370 and CR 833.

Tomorrow Saturday March 23, 2019 join us for the 155th Battle of Brice's Crossroads Living History Event for demonstrations of camp life held all day from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Visitors can enjoy learning about camp life, witness pickets, small skirmishes and era music.

10 a.m. Battle scenarios will be presented near the campsites
2 p.m. Battle Scenarios
Visitors can explore the 1500-acre battlefield as soldiers experienced it in 1864, visit the eleven tour stops on the battlefield tour and enjoy the interpretive center. The encampment will be set up and the tour will begin at group use area on Highway 833 or the Guntown Road.
4 p.m. Campsites close

Cost is $5 for everyone over 7 years of age with a $20 cap per family. Free Parking will be available at the group use area on Highway 833. The tours will begin and end at the camp.

Join us Saturday March 23, 2019
Civilian life of the 1860’s will be represented by fifteen stations set be set up on the battlefield with authentic re-enactors demonstrating camp cooking, spinning demonstrations, children's toy display, quilting, era music with hands-on instruments, chair caning and corn-shuck dolls.
A replica log cabin will also be a part of the demonstrations with a presentation about pioneer life in the area. Additional stations will include military re-enactors in a full day of military life in the 1860’s.
Cannon firing, artillery, cavalry and infantry demonstrations will be available all day.

Admission is $5 with a $20 cap for a family.
Concessions will be available and parking is free.

The event, which will take place on CR 833 south of the crossroads, and is sponsored by the Brice’s Crossroads Battlefield Commission, Mississippi’s Final Stands Interpretive Center, and the 1st Division/ Southern Re-enactor Association.

Join us this Saturday March 23, 2019 from 8AM to 4PM to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Brice’s Crossroads held at the battlefield on March 23, 2019 open to the public. 155th Battle of Brice's Crossroads Living History Event, the day will include both civilian and military demonstrations full of living history.
Demonstrations and activities will be at the Boy Scout camping area on County Road 833 in Baldwyn.

Living History Event and Battle Scenarios
9 a.m. Hear the roar of cannon throughout the day with demonstrations by cannon batteries
Musicians and craftsmen will join with infantry and artillery men to conduct era portrayals of soldiers and civilians who witnessed the battle first hand during a living history encampment and tour on Saturday.
Demonstrations of camp life will be held all day from 9 a.m.-4p.m. Visitors can enjoy learning about camp life, witness pickets, small skirmishes and era music.
