Civilian life of the 1860’s will be represented by fifteen stations set be set up on the battlefield with authentic re-enactors demonstrating camp cooking, spinning demonstrations, children's toy display, quilting, era music with hands-on instruments, chair caning and corn-shuck dolls.
A replica log cabin will also be a part of the demonstrations with a presentation about pioneer life in the area. Additional stations will include military re-enactors in a full day of military life in the 1860’s.
Cannon firing, artillery, cavalry and infantry demonstrations will be available all day.
Admission is $5 with a $20 cap for a family.
Concessions will be available and parking is free.
The event, which will take place on CR 833 south of the crossroads, and is sponsored by the Brice’s Crossroads Battlefield Commission, Mississippi’s Final Stands Interpretive Center, and the 1st Division/ Southern Re-enactor Association.
