BCSFD is a combination FD with our volunteer & career Firefighters and EMTs working together.

The Department is responsible for providing fire, rescue and emergency services to the Fire District.

🚒 Community Notice 🚒
Please be advised that our fire department facilities are being used for public safety agency training exercises. During these trainings, you may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles, personnel, and activity around the station or training areas.

These exercises are an important part of ensuring our first responders remain prepared to serve and protect our community safely and effectively.

There is no cause for alarm if you see this activity unless otherwise announced.

🚫🔥 New York State Burn Ban in Effect 🔥🚫

The New York State Burn Ban is in effect March 16 until May 14 . Residential brush burning is prohibited during this period to reduce the risk of wildfires and protect our community.

Please remember:
❌ No burning of brush, leaves, branches, or yard debris
✅ Small campfires and cooking fires are permitted only when safely contained and never left unattended.

We ask all residents to use caution and follow the burn ban restrictions to help prevent brush fires and keep our firefighters and neighbors safe.

When you change your clocks, it’s a great time to check your smoke detectors.

✔️ Change the batteries
✔️ Test each detector
✔️ Replace any unit that is 10 years old or not working properly

Working smoke detectors provide early warning in the event of a fire and give your family valuable time to get out safely.

If you need assistance with testing or replacing smoke detectors, please reach out to the Belgium Cold Springs Fire Department at BCSFD.org – Smoke Detector Program. Complete the form and we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
