North West Fire District The North West Fire District encompasses the Village of Baldwinsville and portions of the Towns of Lysander and Van Buren within Onondaga County. Fire Co.

The district is served and protected by the Baldwinsville Vol. and the Lysander Fire Dept. We welcome comments and public engagement about issues, causes, and information we post on our page. Please come out and vote. Yes, on April 7 in support of the North West Fire District’s purchase of a new tower truck.

This new tower truck is an important investment in the safety of our community and the volunteer firefighters who serve it. The total purchase price is $2.3 million with the District contributing $500,000 upfront and financing the remaining $1.8 million.

Your vote will help. Ensure the North West Fire District has the equipment needed to continue protecting the residence businesses and first responders for years to come.

When a fire breaks out, seconds matter, so making sure that your nearby fire hydrant is shoveled out and clear of any debris, and is greatly appreciated by your local fire department.

EXCITING NEWS: We're proud to announce that we will be hosting the 1st annual Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY) summer games from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18. If you're coming to town for the Chiefs show, stay and enjoy the weekend. The 3 day event will bring firefighters from throughout New York State to the greater Baldwinsville area to compete in fire service related events.
