The Baldwin Park Police Department is currently on scene in the area of Puente Avenue and Badillo Street regarding an individual found lying on the ground unresponsive.

Upon arrival, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the individual deceased. The death appears to be from natural causes.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

🚨 DUI CHECKPOINT 🚨
The Baldwin Park Police Department will conduct a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM at an undisclosed location within Baldwin Park.

Impaired driving isn’t just about alcohol. Prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and ma*****na can also affect your ability to drive safely.

If you plan to drink, plan ahead. Designate a sober driver, use a rideshare, or find another safe way home.

Drive sober. Get home safe!

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

UPDATE - SUSPECT ARRESTED

The suspect from this morning's assault with a deadly weapon near Baldwin Park Blvd. and Tracy St. has been taken into custody.

With the assistance of the West Covina Police Department and the LASD Aero Bureau, the suspect was arrested following a pursuit through Baldwin Park and surrounding cities.

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information is still asked to contact the Baldwin Park Police Department at (626) 960-1955.

We thank the West Covina Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Aero Bureau for their assistance.

The Baldwin Park Police Department is currently investigating an assault with a deadly weapon incident that occurred in the area of Baldwin Park Boulevard and Tracy Street. This is believed to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.

The area is being treated as a crime scene. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

The Baldwin Park Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on August 19, 2026, in the 4600 block of Laurens Avenue.

During the investigation, detectives identified suspects believed to be documented gang members or associates who may be linked to the shooting and other crimes in the city.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence in Baldwin Park. In the early morning hours of August 26, the Baldwin Park Police Department, along with the East San Gabriel Valley SWAT Team, executed the warrant.

Officers recovered a handgun and other evidence believed to be related to the shooting and other ongoing cases. A red Hyundai sedan with multiple bullet holes, and believed to be used in these crimes, was recovered for evidence. Three individuals were arrested.

The Pink Patch Project is a powerful initiative that raises awareness and support in the fight against breast cancer.

Law enforcement agencies across the country proudly wear pink patches as a symbol of hope, strength, unity, and support for those affected by breast cancer.
