Students in Mrs Harris’ 6th hour Intro to Art class at the High School finished their Compass Roses. They learned to work with a compass to make radial artwork. Then used various colored pencil techniques to color in using warm and cool colors. Other drawings are from Ms Weavers Drawing 2 class of a still life piece.

Mrs. Wright’s class had fun in science on Tuesday! We explored how systems work by building a solar powered fan. Students were given a solar panel, small motor, wires and a fan and their challenge was to put together the system using those parts to make the fan work. Their inquiry and teamwork skills were off the charts!

Great work, Baldwin!

Baldwin Girls Golf competed at the Spring Hill Tournament meet yesterday (9/16) at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course and earned 1st place by 54 strokes. The tournament was called with 2 holes left due to the wet bulb temperature. Baldwin competed against, Spring Hill, DeSoto, Gardner-Edgerton, Tonganoxie, Basehor-Linwood, Piper, Ottawa, Bonner Springs, Wellsville, and Paola.

Baldwin Girls Golf competed at the Santa Fe Trail meet yesterday (9/15) at Lamont Hills Golf Course and earned 1st place by 38 points. The girls played 9 holes and all girls placed and earned medals. As a team, Baldwin Girls Golf is ranked 1st in scoring at 341.6 in 4A, 4th in All Classes. Peyton Wright is ranked 1st in 4A for scoring 72.4, 4th in All Classes.
