This morning, our Public Safety Officers continued the tradition of honoring the fallen from 9/11/2001 by climbing the steps of Old Baldy Lighthouse. Many successfully climbed all 2,200 steps – the same height responders reached in the towers before they fell. We will never forget their courage and sacrifice.

Please join The Village Chapel of Bald Head Island this Friday, September 11, at 12:00 p.m. as we gather to remember and honor those whose lives were forever changed by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

This special service will include personal testimonies, beautiful hymns, prayer, and moments of reflection as we come together in remembrance.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, the families affected, the heroes who responded, and the strength and compassion that brought our nation together.
All are welcome!
