Your City Council just approved major investments that will improve our community for years to come:

✅ $876K+ for sewer infrastructure improvements
✅ $292K+ for street reconstruction and code enforcement programs
✅ Land acquisition to support future development opportunities
✅ $6.4 MILLION for new shared-use trails connecting our city
✅ Support for Opportunity Zone designation to attract jobs and investment

We also celebrated outstanding students receiving scholarships and recognized the bright future of Balch Springs! 🎓

Yesterday, City crews removed approximately 120 cubic yards of tree debris from public roadways and locations throughout Balch Springs.

The photo below provides a visual reference of what 120 cubic yards looks like, a testament to the hard work of our crews and their commitment to keeping our community safe and accessible.

We’re kicking off the evening at 5:30 PM honoring the recipients of the 2026 City Council Scholarship Program — young people who represent the very best of our community. Then at 6:30 PM, City Council convenes to keep the work moving forward for ALL of us.
