Kern County Probation is proud to celebrate the graduation of 15 Youth Services Officers from our Juvenile Corrections CORE Academy!
For 269.5 hours, these officers trained right here in Kern County under the guidance of our own in-house CORE instructors—the dedicated members of Kern County Probation who bring their knowledge, experience, and passion for the job into the classroom and training environment.
This academy also welcomed one officer from Riverside County Probation and two officers from Tulare County Probation, who traveled to Kern County to train alongside our officers and learn from our in-house training staff.

These awards recognize officers who stood out during the academy, but all 18 graduates deserve to be celebrated. They put in the hours, accepted the challenges, and earned their place as Youth Services Officers.
The celebration became even more meaningful when Chief Moore reaffirmed the officers’ oath in front of their family, friends, and colleagues.
