Congratulations to our newest Youth Services Officers who graduated from our Juvenile Corrections Officer CORE Academy! 🎓👏

After completing 260 hours of intensive training, our Youth Services Officers officially graduated with family, friends, and colleagues by their side as Chief Bill Dickinson reaffirmed their oath of service.

We are also proud to recognize two officers from the Riverside County Probation Department who graduated alongside our team through this academy partnership. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving youth and the community represent the future of our profession.

Special congratulations to Officer Martinez for receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award and Officer Samano for earning the Outstanding Achievement Award for their exceptional performance throughout the academy.

Thank you to everyone who supported these graduates throughout their journey. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in our community.

Recently, Probation Program Specialists assigned to the Youth Programs and Supports unit hosted a celebration for three youth who successfully completed Aggression Replacement Training (ART). ART is a structured cognitive-behavioral evidence-based curriculum consisting of 20 coordinated and integrated sessions of social skills training, anger control training, and a moral reasoning component. The group-based interactive format helps promote pro-social behavior while fostering ethical decision making and emotional control. The celebration recognized the youths’ effort and commitment to completing the curriculum and included a commemorative awards ceremony and dinner shared with their families.
