NX Annex The nX Annex Literary Arts Colony & Art Center nurtures the arts and conservation while connecting community. We want YOU to get involved! It's your community!

A creative space for art, poetry, music, and more, powered by NXCC—nX Annex operates in partnership with Nexus Community Collaboration (NXCC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to community access and collaboration. We provide a third space, a place to enjoy art, poetry, music, and much more. The nX Annex is a division of Nexus Community Collaboration (NXCC) a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization relyi

ng on donations to provide a thriving community to artists of all levels, types, and genres and cultivate and archive the literary arts in Kern County. With several divisions, including nX Annex, nX ArtHouse, Kern Poetry Foundation, Shanley Project, and The Goddard Scholarship, NXCC has hosted a variety of open mics, arts exhibits, workshops, classes, and events in Kern County. Some past open mics and reading series's include Up Close Let Loose Traveling Poets' Reading Series, Operation Soapbox, On the Fly, and the Speakeasy. The nX Annex hosts a variety of events including literary workshops, art events, open mics, and a community garden.
