📚 Thank You from the Friends!

Our hearty thanks to all of our members and friends who attended our two-day sale earlier in March at the Beale. It was a grand success and gave us a wonderful start toward our goal of supporting the Library and its many successful programs. We truly appreciate your participation!

Here’s some additional good news… the restructuring of the shelving for the book sales on the second floor of the KCL - Beale Memorial Library is now complete. Come take a look at the new arrangement! As the saying goes, we’re going to have something for everyone.

We’re working as quickly as possible to fill those shelves, though you’ve been keeping us busy with our popular “Facts, Figures and Fun” feature — and it’s still there for you to enjoy. Interesting books are arriving all the time!

📖 Just a reminder: Magazine sales by the Friends are also available on the second floor and are now front and center in the sales area for your convenience.

Pardon our appearance and lack of books at the Friends’ ongoing book sales area on the second floor of the Beale. We are currently undergoing restructuring which requires our temporary withdrawal of some books until shelves can be positioned in their final location. We still have plenty of books on the shelves, like our "Facts, Figures and Fun" feature—So you still have plenty to review!

In the meantime, be sure to attend the Friends’ adult and kids two day sale on the main floor of Beale Memorial Library on March 13 and 14.

Did you know the original Star Trek series is approaching its 60th anniversary? That’s right — it first aired in September 1966! The first mass-market paperback books followed soon after in 1967, launching decades of adventures beyond the screen.

If you’re a fan of the original series or any of the numerous spin-offs, be sure to browse the shelves at the Friends’ ongoing book sale on the Second Floor of the KCL - Beale Memorial Library. We have Star Trek titles available — and more are arriving every day!

All are priced at just 50¢ each.
