Bakersfield Adult School Where Learning is for Life! Bakersfield Adult School has served our community since 1917.

Today, BAS serves nearly 30,000 students that attend both day and evening classes at over 20 locations. BAS is the 8th largest adult school in California, providing classes for:

741 Older Adults - "life long learning!"

295 Adults with Disabilities - "self-esteem, self-worth, and, (in some cases), employment!"

3,196 Students is ESL/ELD/EL Civics - "teaching the English language, U.S. history and

culture, as well as, community awareness and involvement!"

1,400 Vocational Students:

- Nurse Assistant
- Medical Assistant
- Medical Billing and Coding
- Business Certification
- Computer Certification

BAS provides cost-effective workforce development for students and the community.
