At the corner of 19th & K sits a community hub, home to Woolworth's Luncheonette, Reverb Coffee - Bakersfield, Ca, and The Basement at Woolworth's.
Woolies is the offbeat alter ego of Bakersfield Woolworth’s Building, a little grittier, a little funkier, and deeply rooted in the culture that has shaped downtown Bakersfield. You’ve seen it show up as the house-made sauce at Woolworth's Luncheonette, the house band playing in the basement, and now as a collaboration between Bakersfield Woolworth’s Building and Reverb Coffee - Bakersfield, Ca.
These graphic tees are a tribute to the people, places, and communities that continue to define our city. From legendary punk shows at Jerry’s Pizza and The Dome to the skate culture many of us grew up in, this collection is a nod to the creative spirit that’s always lived downtown and in us.
The artists behind Reverb Coffee - Bakersfield, Ca and Bakersfield Woolworth’s Building came together to build this project from the ground up, even creating an original song and music video to help tell the story.
