We appreciate the work of Baker County Safe Communities Coalition to make our community aware of current trends in teens.

The Reality in Baker County🚨 Parental approval plays a huge role in teen choices—when youth believe their parents are okay with underage drinking, they’re more likely to do it.
It’s time for our community to step up. Parents, your voice matters! Talk to your kids about the risks of alcohol & ma*****na use alike. Set clear expectations. Be the influence they need.
Let’s work together to protect our youth. 💙

Thank you everyone who put this on and for those who came to support the youth and families in our community!

February and March were very busy for our office. We were in attendance at two career fairs in Baker County. The first was at the Baker High School. It was a fantastic event hosting many local employers including the Baker County DA's Office. The second career fair, held at the Fairgrounds Event Center, was open to local schools and anyone looking for a career change. The representatives of the DA's office enjoyed interacting with many students and community members, letting them try on drunk goggles and engaging in wonderful conversations about the many different career paths of our office. We love the Baker County Community.

Earlier this week our local Child Abuse Multidisciplinary Team attended a training about child abuse and how to respond as a team. Many community partners attended and we had a very successful training. Thank you to Oregon Child Abuse Solution, Mt. Emily Safe Center and Western Regional for working with us on bringing a training to us locally.
