Baker County Invasive Weed Department

Baker County Invasive Weed Department We assist all Land Managers and Stake holders in Plant Identification and Integrated W**d Management

The goal of this program is to implement County and State noxious w**d ordinances. We will accomplish this by achieving the most effective Vegetation Management Program for the preservation of Baker County's valuable property by utilizing Education, Mechanical control, Biological control, Cultural control, and Chemical control for the betterment of Baker County and its neighbors. The effectiveness

of this program is due to the authority and cooperation of the Baker County Citizens, Baker County Commissioners, and the Baker County W**d Board.

This is why what we, and our partners, do matters!
The field on the left was treated by Baker County W**d District and Union County W**d Control staff in 2025 where as the field on the right was not. One treatment year difference. Both fields will be treated this year; left one will be spot treated for cleanup and right one will be broadcast treated.

The Baker County W**d Board and Noxious W**d Department want to hear from our communities!

Noxious w**ds pose a threat to our local communities. They alter our landscapes, close waterways, push out “good” native plant species, and decrease soil stability. They can also negatively impact agriculture production, recreation, wildlife habitat, and livestock habitat.
