Tammy T. Walker loved the history of Callahan County and the courthouse. She was an advocate for the Restoration and Preservation of the building so it could serve its citizens for generations to come. We are saddened by her passing and extend her family our condolences at this time.

We are sorry to share the loss of Tammy T. Walker. Tammy served Callahan County for 43 years, 25 as Tax Assessor Collector. Tammy was known around the state as an advocate, educator, and friend to her peers and those she served in County Government. She influenced change at the regional and state level to help improve the services the State of Texas provides to its citizens. Tammy served as the voter registrar for most of her tenure and was a fierce advocate for free and fair elections. In her personal capacity Tammy served First United Methodist Church in Baird and the “Kid’s Club” investing in her community and the next generation. Goldsmith Solutions is proud to have served alongside Tammy for 20 years. Tammy’s strong work ethic when serving the citizens of Callahan County set a standard of excellence that is admirable.
