At approximately 11:15pm last night, a multi-agency response was initiated for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the Cooney Hollow area. Our team collaborated with Economy PD, Economy Ambulance, Marshal Twp, and Bell Acres Fire to deliver a coordinated response. Chief Brickner took charge, assigning tasks to each unit upon arrival, which enabled the swift and safe extrication of the patient. Hydraulic cutters and spreaders were employed to remove damaged doors and B-posts, while Lieutenant Then and Captain Books crews built a rope system to retrieve the stokes basket. With a haul line and backup safety line in place, the patient was carefully extracted and transferred to the Economy Ambulance crew. After stabilization, the patient was transported to Bell Acres Fire Station, where the Lifeflight Helicopter was waiting. As Captain of this department, I am proud to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of my team and neighboring units, who worked together seamlessly to achieve a successful outcome. Chief Brickner and I commend the outstanding performance and teamwork demonstrated during this incident.
