Yesterday, Galveston County Constables Office Pct 1 had the privilege of speaking at Lutheran South Academy’s Legal Studies Academy. Constable Blake Patton, Pct. 1 Chief Deputy Murphy, along with Deputy Marshal Mihelich with the United States Marshals Service and his K9 partner Tana, played a key role in giving students a realistic perspective on law enforcement and the legal system.

These students are gaining valuable knowledge and a head start toward careers in the legal field. Their teacher, Sarah Horton, brings real-world experience as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and personal injury trial attorney, providing students with insight that goes far beyond the classroom.

Thank you, Sarah Horton, and Lutheran South Academy for the opportunity to engage with your students and contribute to their growth and development. It was a privilege to share our knowledge in support of shaping tomorrow’s leaders.

A familiar face arrested again in Precinct One.

During a long-term narcotics investigation, the Galveston County Constable’s Office Precinct 1, alongside the Galveston County Sheriff's Office executed narcotics search warrants in Texas City.

One subject was found selling narcotics and illegally possessing fi****ms—which wouldn’t be shocking… except this individual was already out on bond for a previous Precinct 1 felony narcotics distribution arrest.

Apparently, getting arrested the first time wasn’t a strong enough hint. Some folks just can’t seem to grasp that continuing to sell drugs in Galveston County while on bond is a fast track right back into custody.

Once again, teamwork and patience paid off—and poor decision-making did the rest.

Galveston County, Texas — On January 13, 2026, deputies with the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office and Galveston County Sheriff's Office in coordination with the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force, were actively searching for Larry Brandon White. White has a lengthy criminal history with eleven felony convictions. White was wanted by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office for the felony offense of evading arrest or detention.

On the same date, a Precinct One deputy observed White operating a vehicle pulling a newly acquired flatbed trailer that had been altered and spray-painted in an apparent attempt to avoid identification. The trailer was loaded with approximately $75,000 worth of equipment, including a skid steer tractor.

As law enforcement approached after White exited the vehicle, he attempted to evade arrest by boarding a kayak and fleeing via a nearby waterway. Deputies located two bystanders on a boat who willingly assisted law enforcement. During the attempted apprehension, White resisted arrest multiple times before being subdued and taken into custody without further incident.

Further investigation by Precinct One deputies revealed that the trailer and all equipment it contained had been reported stolen from CenterPoint Energy facilities in Texas City.

White was booked into the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office on his original felony evading arrest warrant with a $400,000 bond. Additional charges are being filed by the Galveston County Precinct One Constable’s Office, including felony theft with a $400,000 bond and an additional felony evading arrest charge with a $50,000 bond.

This arrest was the result of a collaborative effort among multiple agencies and most importantly community members. Through teamwork and cooperation, deputies were not only able to safely get a career criminal and thief off the street but recover the stolen property.

A special thanks to the two young fishermen who didn’t hesitate to let law enforcement jump on board their boat and chase this fugitive!!!

Gang Member Taken Into Custody in Texas City

Johonn McGowan, a documented gang member wanted since July for multiple felony parole violations for narcotics and fi****ms violations, was arrested on January 2, 2026, in Texas City following a joint operation with the Texas City Police Department and the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.

A Precinct One deputy observed McGowan enter a van, which was stopped by law enforcement. McGowan attempted to flee and resisted arrest before being subdued with a taser. A loaded firearm was recovered.

In early September, the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office received multiple complaints involving Joshua Marshall, operator of OnPoint Auto Customs LLC. Victims reported paying $5,000–$30,000 for classic car repairs and custom work, in some cases over several years, with little to no progress.

Due to the number of victims and amount of money involved, the case was referred to the Gulf Coast Auto Crimes Task Force. After a months-long investigation, Rebecca Millo Judge of the 10th District Court found probable cause, and on December 31, deputies arrested Marshall at his home in Seabrook, TX.

This case highlights the strong multi-agency cooperation in Galveston County. Thank you to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, GCACTF, and the Galveston Police Department for helping bring justice to the victims.

One team. One dream!!
