As we wrap up the 2025-26 school year, it’s already time to start gearing up for another amazing year in Azle ISD! Returning student registration for the 2026-27 school year is officially open in Skyward Family Access. (Students will show their current grade level until July.)

Cross Timbers celebrated this special group of people this morning. Congratulations to Nadine DeTarville, our Teacher of the year, on 35 years with Azle ISD, Shannon Bernsen on 30 years with Azle ISD, Charlean Roberts on 15 years with Azle ISD, Stephanie Lentz on 10 years with Azle ISD, Madison Witt, Brandie Eubank, and Michaela Carrizales on 5 with Azle ISD, and Angela Burns on her retirement. We are proud of these accomplishments and our staff. Enjoy your well deserved summer breaks!

Have you ever played a cardboard arcade game? 🎯

Our GT students spent weeks designing and building cardboard arcade games- and the results were amazing! Students and parents had a blast trying every game. 👾 The kids showed creativity, teamwork, and pride in their work. 👏

Creativity + teamwork = big smiles 😊

UPDATE - as of 7:15 a.m. power has been restored to both campuses.

Cross Timbers Elementary and Walnut Creek Elementary are currently affected by a power outage. Tri-County is currently working to restore power. As of now, we are planning for a regular school day. We will share updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
