Mrs. Commander is the absolute BEST! 💚🖤💚

💚 Staff Shoutout: Mrs. Commander! 💚

We want to take a moment to recognize our amazing counselor, Mrs. Commander! She is a fierce advocate for our students and is always on the move—helping a child, supporting a staff member, or jumping in wherever our PTO needs her.

When we dreamed up the SC Champs Care Closet over the summer, Mrs. Commander was immediately all in. She helped us create a list of essentials based on what she has seen our students need, and she has taken on the important role of helping keep the closet stocked and making sure our Champs never go without something they need.

She is a comfort on hard days, a smile when a child needs one, and someone our students can always count on. We are so grateful for everything she does for our school and our Champs! 🥹💚🖤

Our students took on a tough challenge in Ms. Long's Class using the “Stick It Together” strategy!

Here’s how these team players nailed it:
1️⃣ Think First: Every student worked independently to get their own ideas on paper.
2️⃣ Team Up: Groups shared their answers, put their heads together, and evaluated each other's reasoning.
3️⃣ Build the Best: By combining their smartest ideas, each team created one ultimate, top-tier answer! 🏆✨

From building and problem-solving in the STEAM lab with LEGOs to making music with xylophones, our classrooms were buzzing with energy! We danced, rocked our brain breaks, tackled hands-on stations, brought the spirit with our cheerleaders, and wrapped it all up with the fan-favorite parachute in PE. 🎈🥁✨

All of our students have officially been assigned their House colors for the school year! We can’t wait to see our Silver Creek spirit on our designated House days.

If you’d like to order an official House shirt ($20), our online webstore will be closing on September 14th.
