We're excited to welcome eight incredible new nurses to Texas Health Fort Worth! Each of them started their journey through our Patient Care Technician (PCT) Apprentice Program—a fantastic “learn while you earn” opportunity that covers training expenses and pays salaries throughout the process.

Proud of our 14 Azle HS EMT program students for taking a big step forward this week as they completed their Skills Assessments!

These students continue to show professionalism, focus, and a commitment to learning the life-saving skills that truly make a difference. From patient care scenarios to hands-on evaluations, they rose to the challenge and represented Azle HS flawlessly!

HST clinicals had a very informative and productive day! We were excited to welcome Ms. Beran from the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation to speak with our students. She shared valuable insight on nursing pathways, program rigor, acceptance rates, course transfers, and their nationally recognized Smart Hospital at UT Arlington — which we hope to tour soon!

After her presentation, students began practicing their very first venipunctures — an exciting milestone in their clinical training.

Last week, our Medical Terminology students had a hands-on (and creative!) experience forming the digestive system using Play-doh to reinforce anatomical structures and terminology.

We love seeing learning come to life in so many different ways!

⭐ CTE Spotlight - EMT ⭐

The Azle High School Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program is transforming students into lifesavers! In partnership with the School of EMS and the Azle Professional Firefighters Local 3627, these seniors are getting front line practice beyond the classroom! 💚

Through intense ER clinical shifts and ambulance ride-alongs, students gain hands-on experience in high-pressure environments. They are mastering life-saving skills daily as they prepare for their national certification exam this April. ⚕

➡ Upon passing, these dedicated Hornets will graduate as nationally certified EMTs, ready to serve our community. We are proud of their commitment to public safety!
