This End of Year Powerlifting Celebration was an awesome way to officially wrap up this year. It was a night of celebrating the community and celebrating these athletes and their contributions to our program. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to these athletes success. It was an awesome night celebrating these ladies at the Top Ten Dinner at the Petroleum Club last night. It has been a blessing and an honor to get to coach these young women and see them succeed in so many ways. We appreciate everything you have done not only for us but for the Powerlifting Program during your high school years and the lasting impact you have made that will continue for years to come.

CONGRATS!!!!!
These ladies were selected for recognition because they were either Academic Top Ten or were chosen by the faculty as a Top Ten Student. Both of these accomplishments are extraordinary and speak to the character and the hard work these girls have put in their entire academic career. We are proud to announce the Powerlifting Academic All-State selections for this season. These honors are awarded to seniors who maintain a high GPA while competing at the varsity level.
First Team Honors:

Best of luck to these young men and coaches as they head to Abilene for the state powerlifting meet this weekend! Months of hard work are about to pay off when they lift ALL the weight this weekend! Special shout out to Coach Wheeler and Coach Jones. These two have put in countless hours making sure that these men are ready to be successful this weekend. They are hands-down two of the best in the business and such an asset to every athlete and student in Azle!

These ladies were recognized last night along with some other very successful programs from AHS (Swimming, Wrestling and the Guys' Powerlifting Team) and had the opportunity to get to show off some of their accomplishments to the School Board. These ladies have exceeded expectations all year. Some of their accomplishments this year:
Finished 1st in every League meet this year
Back-to-Back District Champs
6 Individual District Champs
31 Regional Qualifiers
2nd Place as a Team in Regionals
3 Individual Regional Champs
9 State Qualifiers
1 State Medalist
6 Selected for Academic All State Teams
18 New School Records and 1 New Regional Record
