Looks like we might be getting some rain and then cold weather.

Another afternoon of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected along and ahead of a cold front as it slowly moves south into Central Texas. While most storms should remain sub-severe, a few may become severe with the primary hazards being large hail and damaging winds.

Bellmead is getting bad golfball hail at the moment but Elk Road is projected to get worse and bigger hail. Please make sure you are away from windows and do not go outside. They aren't seeing rotation for a tornado now but that hail is bad. Be Safe!

A Tornado Watch has been issued for McLennan County until 1am. This is only a watch. Keep an eye on your news/weather channels or even Facebook lives for KWTX News 10 weather. We are only looking at the watch at a moment.

This is not in our area but has potential to be. This supercell has be known to spit out Golfball size hail. If you see this now, put the cars under the carport, bring the animals inside or make sure they are safe, and check to make sure the neighbors do the same. We are aware and keeping an eye on everything. Stay safe!

7:00 PM UPDATE:

OEM continues to monitor a classic supercell in Johnson County moving southeast at this time. This storm has a history of producing tornadoes and hail up to 4 inches in diameter. On its current track, this storm will approach the northeastern portions of McLennan County.

At this time, we are not under a tornado watch. We may be added to the watch to our north shortly as this storm continues to dive southeast.

We will continue to monitor and provide updates as needed.
