Update on our Library Fairy. She has a name, Bookreanna. She has become a fun highlight for our elementary classes. She even got a gift from a secret admirer (The little bookshop). Thank you! She has added bookshelves for all her books that she is reading.

"Dear Library Friends,
What a wonderful start to our new school year! I've been watching from my tiny rocking chair as you've all settled back into the rhythm of library visits, and my fairy heart is simply bursting with joy!
It's been so delightful seeing familiar faces return and meeting all the new students who are discovering our magical library for the first time. You've all grown so much!
The autumn air is starting to creep in through the windows, and I've been rearranging my tiny book area to include some fall things. Someone brought me a present and I am rearranging to see how I want it to look.
I'm especially excited to see what new adventures we'll discover together this year! Will you find a series that keeps you reading all year long? Will you discover a new favorite author? Will you write me more wonderful notes in my mailbox?
Thank you for remembering our Wildcat Way - you've all been so respectful, responsible, kind, and safe. My sensitive fairy ears appreciate your quiet voices, and my delicate furniture is grateful for your gentle care!

We had a new friend move into the library today. Here is a note from them:
Dear Library Friends,
I recently moved into your wonderful library because I was drawn to the magic that happens when younglings discover new worlds through books. You see, I've been searching for the perfect home for quite some time, and when I spotted your library I brought my little rocking chair and felt the warm, welcoming atmosphere of our library, I knew I had found my place.
My cozy reading corner is my special treasure. I love sitting in my tiny rocking chair and getting lost in all sorts of stories. You might notice different books appearing on my chair - that's because I'm always exploring new adventures through reading!
I do have one small request: while I adore hearing your excited whispers about books, very loud noises startle me and interrupt my reading time (and sometimes my afternoon naps!). I promise to keep our library space magical if you help keep it peaceful.
Oh! And I should mention - I don't have a name yet. As your library fairy, I would be honored if you helped choose one for me. What name do you think would suit a book-loving fairy who sprinkles reading magic throughout the library?

We had some 2nd graders looking for the wrestling books in the library the other day. One of them said, “I bet Taaron has them checked out.”

Make sure you turn your books back in Taaron. The 2nd graders really look up to you and they want to read those wrestling books.

Reading this to our 4th-6th grade students. They are loving it!

Who can resist a book with a dog on the cover? 🐶 Today's spotlight is a stand-alone middle-grade novel about a girl who is dealing with the tragic loss of her best friend, and the dog that helps her forge new friendships and find happiness once again.
