đźš’đź’§It's National Hydration Day and while we're all reminded to drink our water, it's also a great time to highlight how important water is in emergency response.

Not every emergency scene has a fire hydrant nearby. In rural or remote areas, our crews have to get creative, drafting water from ponds, lakes, or portable sources and using advanced pumper operations to keep water flowing where it's needed most.

That's why our teams train constantly. Staying sharp on these skills ensures that no matter the location, they can adapt quickly and get water on the fire.

Whether it's keeping our bodies hydrated or ensuring steady water supply on scene, preparation is everything.

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19, marks the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Texas were finally informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. This historic day serves as a reminder of the delayed justice many endured and the resilience shown through generations.

Today, Juneteenth is recognized as a time to reflect on freedom, history, resilience, and progress.
