ODD/EVEN WATERING BAN
The City of Avon is moving to an ODD/EVEN watering ban. If your house number ends in an odd number, you may water your lawn on odd numbered days. If your house number ends in an even number, you may water your lawn on even numbered days. Please use the minimum amount of water necessary and please keep watering to *evening/ very early morning* hours only in order to conserve as much as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: IF THE WATER DEPARTMENT SEES THE PUMPS RUNNING EXCESSIVELY OR IF THE ODD/EVEN BAN IS NOT BEING ADHERED TO A TOTAL WATERING BAN MAY ONCE AGAIN BE IMPLEMENTED. Our primary concern is for safety and ensuring enough water storage and capacity to deal with an emergency should a fire occur. Thank you!

City of Avon, MN- Water Conservation Notice- Temporary Outdoor Water Ban
Due to the recent period of extreme heat and increased water demand, the City of Avon is implementing a temporary outdoor water ban effective immediately and until further notice.
This temporary measure is necessary to help ensure an adequate water supply for essential household use, emergency services, and fire protection.
During the water ban, residents and businesses are asked to refrain from:
• Watering lawns or landscaping (including sand points & pumping from lakes)
• Washing vehicles
• Filling swimming pools or other large water features
• Power washing driveways, sidewalks, or buildings
• Any other non-essential outdoor water use
We understand this may be an inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s cooperation. Conserving water now helps protect our community’s water system during this period of unusually high demand.
City staff will continue to monitor water usage and weather conditions. The water ban will remain in effect until conditions improve, and updates will be posted via City’s alert system, Facebook, and the marquee by Blattner Field.
Thank you for doing your part to help conserve water and protect our community’s water supply.
