“In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the U.S. Army has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Did you know the American Forces Network was once the Armed Forces Radio Network?

Programming has expanded from providing entertainment and news to troops in Europe during World War II to currently serving a vast audience of over 160 countries and ships at sea.

The U.S. Army along with other services have been providing these services since conception, and it all started with the Radio 📻. The equipment is a lot nicer compared to WWII.

Congratulations to 2nd Lt. Alma Cooper, USMA Class of 2023, on being crowned Miss USA! 2nd LT Cooper, is the first active-duty soldier to receive this title, attributes her dedication to character, both in and out of uniform, to her years at West Point. 🇺🇸 🫡
