On Friday I had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest to the Village Hall — Mayor for the Day, Elias!

Elias, a student at St. Agnes school, did a wonderful job leading our staff meeting, inspecting our fire department equipment, and checking out our police cruisers. Most importantly, he brought great energy, curiosity, and smiles to everyone he met!

Thank you, Elias, for spending the day with us and reminding us what community is all about. It was truly a great day for the Village of Avon!

We are thrilled to welcome Barilla’s continued investment in our community and region. This nearly $170 million expansion is a tremendous vote of confidence in Avon, our workforce, and the future we are working hard to build. Barilla has been an outstanding community partner since coming to Avon, and this project means new jobs, expanded manufacturing capacity, and renewed momentum for Livingston County and the Finger Lakes region. It also reinforces what we already know: Avon is a place where businesses can invest, grow, and succeed.

We are grateful to Governor Hochul, Empire State Development, Greater Rochester Enterprise, Livingston County, and all the partners who helped make this possible. Most importantly, we are proud that Barilla continues to believe in Avon.

Barilla’s expansion is more than a business announcement — it is a powerful statement that Avon is moving forward, that our community is worth investing in, and that the future here is bright.

You asked — and we’re live!

Residents can now pay Village bills and fees online at www.villageofavonny.gov.

Just go to the homepage and click the “Bill Pay” button.

You can now pay your Water/Sewer bill, park event and pavilion rental fees, building permits, taxes (during tax-time), and other listed permits and fees online.

Thank you for your patience as we worked to launch this service. Before we could provide online payments, we first needed to take the important step to upgrade our Village finance systems — and that is something that takes time to do the right way.

We’re glad to offer another convenient way to access Village services.

[A quick note: online payments include a surcharge that goes directly to the third-party payment vendor.]
