The stage comes alive on Friday with the Shout Band & The Savage Brothers Band. On Saturday Johnny Sixgun Band, Night Shift, and Michael Nigretti take over the stage plus a show-stopping performances from the dance troupe Sorelle D’ Italia in America. And they’re back by popular demand — the Yummy Meatball Eating Contest, the Great Grape Stomping Contest, and the one-and-only Cheese Roll Contest! 32 Old Farms Road, Avon, CT. Arch Road Detour information.

Arch Road Detour – Bike Trail/Road Construction

Notice to Residents and Motorists
As part of the upcoming construction for the new bike trail extension, Arch Road will be closed between Old Farms Road and Security Drive beginning September 8th through September 18th.

A detour will be in place during this time, and motorists are asked to follow the posted detour signs and use alternate routes.

We are hopeful that the construction work will be completed prior to September 18th; however, the exact completion date is not known at this time due to any unforeseen conditions.

We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important project is completed.

Questions regarding the road closure or detour may be directed to the Avon Public Works Department at 860-673-6151.

Sat. Aug 22nd, 2026 The Dream Ride Experience. We encourage everyone to plan ahead to avoid traffic and thank everyone in advance for their support and understanding of this great event, which helps support our local Special Olympic Athletes.
The Dream Ride Experience
Since 2001 the Hometown Foundation has held the Dream Ride Experience as a way to raise awareness and funds for those individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Just last year in 2025, the Dream Ride Experience raised a record breaking $7.65 million dollars!
On Saturday August 22nd, 2026 the Dream Ride Experience will feature two events that will be entering Avon at separate times. The Dream Ride will feature a procession of nearly 500 motorcycles that will travel 40 miles through the Farmington Valley. The Dream Ride will depart the Farmington Polo Grounds at approximately 11:15am. The convoy will travel north on Town Farm Road/Tillotson Road and turn left onto Old Farms Road. Continuing on Old Farms Road through the Thompson Road intersection and the rotary, then straight through Route 44 continuing onto Simsbury Road (Route 10 & 202) into Simsbury. There will be traffic delays of approximately 30 minutes along the route.
The Dream Cruise will feature over 200 cars traveling with Special Olympic Athletes and will be departing the Farmington Polo Grounds at approximately 4:15pm. The convoy will travel north on Town Farm Road/Tillotson Road and turn left onto Old Farms Road, continuing onto Thompson Road, turning right onto West Avon Road (Route 167) and continue into Simsbury. The Dream Cruise will return to Avon via Nod Road. The Dream Cruise will continue south onto Waterville Road (Route 10) and turn right onto Old Farms Road and left onto Tillotson Road. There will be intermittent traffic delays for approximately 60-90 minutes, most notably in the area of West Main Street (Route 44) as well as the intersection of Old Farms Road and Tillotson Road.
